DESCRIPTION
This honeysuckle has a more compact growth than the species and its leaves are more shiny and bright green even in cold winters.
This fast growing shrub that can be grown as a low border or hedge, or clipped similarly to box. Its unbeatable fresh green colour is a welcoming feature making it an ideal ground cover even for posh locations.
Unlike box the branches are flexible and do not suffer from breaking under a heavy snow cap. Soil tolerant, it can take both full sun and shade. Well-drained soil is preferred, otherwise it suffers from winter sunscorch. Fully hardy to -24°C (USDA zone 6), it withstands temporary swings to -27°C.
