Description of the plant:
Cypress family belongs to old time favourites in Central Europe. This golden thread-leaf sawara cypress proves the fact. It has string-like branches that elegantly droop to the ground. It is low growing, making a compact and dense, dwarf shrub with lime green needles and golden new growths. For best colour place the plant in a sunny position. It grows moderately or slowly. It is extremely hardy and adapts well to all soil types except for water-logged, however, for best results grow it in well-drained but evenly moist, semi-fertile soil. It can be grown in outdoor pots. Hardy to about -34°C (USDA zone 4).
