Natural total herbicide for organic and ecological growing

Finalsan® is a natural total herbicide based on pelargonic acid, which quickly and effectively destroys weeds, grasses, mosses, and algae. Visible results appear within just a few hours, even at lower temperatures. The product breaks down rapidly in the soil, leaving no residues, and is safe for people, pets, and bees – once dry, treated areas can be re‑entered immediately. It is suitable for use in gardens, terraces, paths, and under trees, but not on lawns, as it kills all green plant parts it touches.

  • What it can do: Reliably eliminates a wide range of weeds (dandelion, plantain, nettle, bindweed, thistle, etc.), grasses, mosses, and algae. Works quickly, even in cool weather.

  • What it cannot do: It is non‑selective – it kills all plants it contacts, so it is not suitable for lawns. It does not destroy underground parts of perennial weeds (roots, rhizomes), so some species may regrow.

  • What to use instead: For selective weed control in lawns, specialized herbicides (e.g. Bofix) are used. For long‑lasting control of perennial weeds, systemic herbicides (e.g. glyphosate) are more effective, though not natural.

product description:

Finalsan® contains pelargonic acid (nonanoic acid) – a fatty acid naturally occurring in plants. It acts by contact, disrupting cell membranes in green plant tissues, leading to rapid desiccation and death. Effects are visible within hours. In the soil, pelargonic acid quickly degrades into natural substances (carbon dioxide and water), leaving no residues. The product is registered as a total herbicide and approved for use in organic farming.

  • Application: dilute the concentrate to a 16.6% solution (100 ml product in 500 ml water) and spray directly onto weeds at approx. 30–40 ml/m². Maximum of 4 applications per season at 21–40 day intervals. Plants must be dry at the time of spraying.

  • Manufacturer / authorization holder: W. Neudorff GmbH KG (distributed in the Czech Republic by AgroBio Opava, s.r.o.).
