BELONGS TO CATEGORIES Fruit trees

We have an attractive range of vegetables that can be grown on your terrace or balcony so you can harvest fresh fruit you produced yourself.

Aubergine can be quite difficult to grow from seed. That's why we have large, strong plants, already with flowers or small fruit that you only transplant into a larger pot and place on your balcony. All you need is keep watering and feeding and be sure to have fresh aubergines until the end of the season.

It needs warmth, plenty of sun and humus-rich soil. Water your plant as needed and add a liquid fertilizer (with phosphorus and potassium) once a week. If the main stem exceeds 30 cm and has no flower prune it to encourage branching. Harvest only fully coloured fruit that is highly glossy and firm but no more stone hard.

Aubergine should be consumed cooked or grilled, they are not recommended raw. You can grill them - plain or with seasoning. And they are excellent stuffed. Cut them in half, remove flesh which can be used into your stuffing, make a stuffing of your choice and bake it in the oven for 10-20 minutes. The best recipe is with mushrooms. Stir-fry chopped mushrooms lightly with butter and a little seasoning or just salt and caraway. Meanwhile, put scooped out aubergines in the oven to loosen a bit, mix the mushrooms with mozzarella cheese and a bit of marjoram and fill the aubergines with your stuffing. Bake it for 10-15 min at about 150°C. Delicious!
