ATAK Spinosad Mravenci Biocidal ant control product
ATAK Ants Spinosad are bait stations with the natural active ingredient spinosad, designed to effectively eliminate ants and their colonies. Ants carry the bait back to the nest, feeding the queen and larvae, which leads to the destruction of the entire colony. The closed design of the stations makes them safe for use in households with children or pets.
-
What it can do:
-
Controls common black ants (Lasius niger) – adults and larvae
-
Eliminates the entire nest, including the queen
-
Provides long‑lasting effect (6–8 weeks)
-
Safe for indoor and outdoor use thanks to closed bait stations
-
-
What it cannot do: Not effective against other insect species; not a universal insecticide.
-
What to use instead: Alternatives include gel baits (ATAK Ant Gel, Imidasect Ants), powder baits (Biotoll), or natural repellents (diatomaceous earth, essential oils).
-
Active ingredient: spinosad (0.08%) – a natural insecticide derived from the fermentation of the soil bacterium Saccharopolyspora spinosa
-
Mode of action:
-
Acts as a stomach poison, disrupting the insect nervous system
-
Ants transport the bait into the nest, spreading it to the colony and queen
-
-
Characterization: biocidal product, not registered as a plant protection product for organic farming (unlike some spinosad formulations used in crop protection).
-
Application: place bait stations directly on ant trails
-
