Crataegus laevigata 'PAUL'S SCARLET' hawthorn


This very attractive hawthorn can be either a great specimen in your garden or used as a hedge. In late May the branches will be covered with bright pink to crimson red clusters of double flowers.
The leaves have 3-5 rounded lobes and are deep green and shiny. It grows as a large shrub or a small tree, and its size can be easily controlled by pruning after flowering. It has no special soil requirements. Fully hardy to approx. -32°C (USDA zone 4).
