Helenium 'RED ARMY' Helen's flower
Helen’s flower is an attractive perennial for summer and autumn borders. Newer cultivars are selected for extended blooming time and Red Army is one of them. It starts in early July and continues for as long as 17 weeks. Red Army makes 60-80 cm tall stems with daisy-like, red and deep coppery orange shades, and reddish brown disc-florets in the centre.

It will grow in almost soil type but prefers fertile, reasonably drained soil and full sun. It is recommended to divide every 2-4 years to encourage new roots and young plants. All parts of the plant may cause severe discomfort if eaten. Fully hardy to about -34°C (USDA zone 4).
