Description of the plant:
Corkscrew rush is a highly ornamental evergreen plant for boggy soil and wet conditions. It produces up to 45 cm tall, dark green, shiny, spiraled stems along which insignificant brown flowers appear in early summer. It likes constantly moist or wet, acidic soil in full sun or partial shade. It can be placed in shallow stream and pond banks where water is not deeper than 8 cm. Fully hardy to min. -30°C (USDA zone 5).
