Lilium
Lilies are not just beautiful cut flowers. In perennial beds same as carefully planted among shrubs or trees they will dazzle with bright colours, shapes, and sizes of their blooms. And be sure we select the grandest of the great ones only!“Fata Morgana” is a double-flowering Asiatic lily with lemon yellow flowers. There are upto 7 blooms on each, about 1m long stalk in June/July. It is pollen-free so won’t leave a mess on your table if cut for a vase. Petals have a few burgundy dots near the throat.
Lilies are easy, maintenance-free tuberous perennials that do best when left grown without taking out. They need fertile, slightly acidic soil, always moist, even in winter. Plant the bulbs at a depth of 2-3 times their height. Check for pests after the leaves have emerged. Fully hardy.
