Malva moscata f. ALBA musk mallow

Musk mallow is our native perennial. It makes very elegant, pure white flowers with 5 wedge-shaped petals. They open freely from early summer and continue until early autumn. They have a light musk fragrance as well as leaves when crushed. The leaves are delicately dissected, grass green, and are present also along the stems.
Mallow is said to be short-lived but it usually self seeds around providing young plants that will flower from the second year. It likes medium fertile, well-drained but preferably constantly moist soil. It does best in full sun.
