Pinus strobus 'BERGMANN'S MINI' dwarf white pine

Bergmann’s Mini is a dwarf white pine that follows success of similar dwarf varieties such as Blue Shag or Minima. It has evergreen, medium long needles that are silvery blue-green in winter, and rich green with silver lining from spring until late summer. They are soft and very nice to touch.
It grows slowly into a compact mound, and does not require pruning for a nice shape. Still, you can trim it in mid spring when new growths show up to keep it smaller. Thanks to its size it is ideal for small gardens and for cultivation in outdoor pots on patios and balconies.
Pines prefer full sun and well-drained soil that will be kept moist for the first year after transplanting. It is extremely hardy and withstands air pollution in cities. Hardy to about -39°C.
