Description of the plant

Erdi Bötermö is a Hungarian variety of sour cherry which may please sečet cherry lovers, too, as this variety is both sweet and sour. It bears medium-sized fruit early in the season, deep red with red flesh and a lot of juice. Still, the fruit remains consistent and is great for deep freezing so you can enjoy a cake with “fresh” sour cherries in the middle of winter. The name was so unusual and hard to spell that the plant was given another name in the USA: Danube®.
