Rosa 'PALMENGARTEN FRANKFURT'® groundcover/shrub rose (Kordes)

Kordes Rosen breed and produce roses which are, in most cases, very resistant to common rose diseases, and when it comes to groudcover or floribunda roses, they are nearly always 100% healthy. These roses need little or no care and remain beautiful all season long. Just like Palmengarten Frankfurt®. This small rose shrub is also used as a groundcover and offers small – about 4 cm across, semi-double, rich pink flowers on the background of small, healthy, glossy, dark green foliage with deep burgundy red shades when the leaves emerge and almost bluish red in autumn. Flowers have no fragrance but appear in profusion repeatedly from June until November. Awarded ADR in 1992.
Planting instructions: Prepare a hole of size 30x30 cm. Put your rose in the way that the grafting point is 3 cm deep in the soil. Water well and cover new shoots with soil or bark mulch about 15 cm high. Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun.
Pruning: These roses needn’t be pruned. What you can do though is deadhead stems with spent flowers above the first leaf with 5 leaflets. You can trim the shrub in early spring.
