SIGNUM Proti moniliové spále fungicide
Signum is a modern systemic fungicide that reliably protects apricots and sour cherries against blossom blight and strawberries against grey mould. Thanks to the combination of two active ingredients it works both preventively and curatively – stopping infection at an early stage and preventing further spread.
-
What it can do: Protects apricots and sour cherries against blossom blight (Monilinia laxa), strawberries against grey mould (Botrytis cinerea). It provides preventive and curative activity, long‑lasting protection, and a low risk of resistance due to the combination of two different modes of action.
-
What it cannot do: It is not intended for other stone fruit diseases (e.g. peach leaf curl) or bacterial infections.
-
What to use instead: Alternatives include other systemic fungicides (Horizon, Teldor, Luna Experience). In organic farming, copper‑based products or biologicals (Polyversum) are used.
Signum contains two active substances: boscalid (267 g/kg) from the anilide group and pyraclostrobin (67 g/kg) from the strobilurin group (FRAC codes 7 and 11). Boscalid blocks fungal respiration at complex II of the mitochondrial chain, while pyraclostrobin inhibits electron transport at complex III. This dual mechanism ensures broad‑spectrum activity, both preventive and curative effects, and reduces the risk of resistance development.
