Weigela 'MINUET' dwarf weigela

Minuet is a dwarf weigela with rosy-red, funnel-shaped, slightly fragrant flowers from end spring until early summer. Some flowers may appear sparsely again in late summer. Deciduous leaves are small, ovate, fresh green when they emerge and gain some bronze or purple overlay in summer if placed in full sun. It grows slowly or moderately into a compact, bushy, mounding shrub.
Weigelas thrive in semi-fertile, slightly moist soil, preferably in full sun. They can take heavy and compacted soil, too, but will need more time to grow nice. Pruning: remove flowering branches right after flowering in early summer. Hardier than most weigelas: to about -34°C (USDA zone 4) but not suitable for outdoor pots.
