Loiret is quite a unique variety of dwarf sour cherry. It forms a mini tree with a dense crown and a good quantity of fruit compared to the plant size. The fruit is deep burgundy red, sour and juicy. It can be grown in a large container on a patio or balcony but then it will need to be fed regularly to keep its statue and health.

It is a self-fertile variety that needs no pollination partner. Grow it in well-drained, fertile soil in full sun. It will benefit from extra watering during dry spells from spring to early summer before the fruit turns red. Hardy.
