Firethorns are thorny evergreen shrubs planted mostly for their abundant fruits, which rippen in the autumn, have amazing colours, pending variety. The hybrids are objectively selected to prevent pests and diseases.
Scarlet firethorn Orange Glow has profusion of bright red fruits on the background of small, bright to dark green, glossy, evergreen leaves. It likes clay, alkaline soil, and is drought tolerant.
