This variety of barberry has very attractive shiny leaves, which are semipersistant, bright green with pale red shades in summer, turning deep red in autumn. Flowers are yellow and appear in May-June.Thorns are shiny red. No special soil requirements.
Needs much less pruning than other varieties.
