BELONGS TO CATEGORIES | Conifers |
Cypress trees and shrubs, especially Lawson cypress varieties, are very popular for their variable shapes, leaf types and colours.
Cream Glow is a dwarf Lawson cypress with attractive foliage colour. This slow growing conifer is silvery blue-green and makes rather joyful colour of new growths – creamy yellow to yellow-green. Thanks to this bright colouring it is ideal for mixing with other dark-green-leaved conifers.
Cream Glow cypress makes only about 1m tall in 10 years time and forms a dense, widely columnar shape. It needn’t be pruned as we are happy for every centimeter it makes. But if you dare you can shape it. False cypress prefers moist but well-drained, slightly acidic soil but is adaptable to almost all types of soil. Grow it in full sun or half shade either in a garden bed or in an outdoor pot. Fully hardy to -28°C (USDA zone 5).
