Sunset fern is a beautiful piece with amazing colour play of its new leaves. They emerge bright golden yellow with rich salmon-pink tones. The fronds are 40-60 cm long, semi-erect, and glossy. They turn rich green when mature. They remain evergreen and beautiful without any sing of damage down to about -10°C, and the plant is root hardy to about -25°C (USDA zone 6). Cut off all leaves in spring to encourage new growths. Grow it in partial shade or full shade, fertile, evenly moist but well-drained, preferably acid soil.
