Teddy is a beautiful addition to the arborvitae family. It is a dwarf variety with emerald green foliage that is so nice to touch. Its vibrant green colour changes to bronze in winter and comes back in spring. It grows slowly into an oval shape and compact habit. Ideal for small gardens, rockeries, and outdoor containers.
Arborvitae can be pruned and clipped from spring to late summer, just avoid cutting into old wood. It is soil tolerant but dislikes boggy locations and long-standing water as well as long-lasting drought. Just keep the soil moist after planting by mulching, and you will get a fantastic plant. Hardy to about -40°C (USDA zone 3).
