GAUDI™ is another gaura series offering compact and profusely flowering plants. GAUDI™ Pink is a variety with large, pink flowers opening from burgundy red buds atop burgundy red stems. You can see the first flowers from the first hot days of late spring until the first frosts in autumn, making this plant one of the few perennials with extra long blooming season.

Gaura requires very little or no care at all. It emerges in late spring with deep burgundy red leaves that turn green in summer when the plant matures to a dense and bushy clump with plenty of thin stems 30-40 cm tall.

In the wild gaura lives in naturally moist lands where it thrives. In the garden grow it in equally moist but well drained soil in full sun. Once established it tolerates summer drought. The richer soil the more flowers you get so if unsure about your soil quality fertilize it with any common fertilizer for flowering plants when in bloom. Mulching is recommended for areas with long lasting frost without snow. After several trials we have to confirm that GAUDI™ is NOT RELIABLE AS A PERENNIAL in zone 6 and is commonly offered as a great annual.
