BELONGS TO CATEGORIES Fruit trees

Červené vřeteno is a Czech variety of columnar apple with big fruit fruit of dark red, glossy skin. The flesh is very tasty - evenly balanced sweet and sour, juicy, and crispy. It ripens from mid to late September and can be eaten off the tree or stored until about late January. It is a heavy cropper and is scab resistant.

Being self-sterile it needs another pollinator for heavy crop, such as Fuji, Gala, Golden Delicious, Golden Reinette, Granny Smith, James Grieve + Red, Kent, Melrose, Opal, Pinova, Rajka, Rubinette, Spartan, Starking a Topaz. Hardy to min. -29°C (USDA zone 5), and suitable for all regions including colder ones.
