Rosa 'Korbilant' PAROLE (BUXOM BEAUTY)

If I was to choose one word, only one to describe this hybrid tea rose it would be intoxicating. By the look, by the smell. There are not many roses that knock you out like this one. It is called PAROLE, or Buxom Beauty, or even XXL which refers to its extra large flowers that can be up to 15 cm across. They are rich magenta purple, and release a strong perfume that is so difficult to depict, which is possibly why it was awarded so many times, usually because of its scent, beginning in its year of release (2001) in Madrid and also in Postdam (Gold medal), later on in Nantes (2002), Haag and Hradec (2004), and last Gifu (Bronze medal). It belongs to the Eleganza series bred by Kordes. Its leaves are rather matte, medium green, and very healthy. PAROLE grows into a bushy shrub almost one meter tall and a little less wide. Blooming begins in early June and continues in several flushes until late October. It is very hardy.

Planting instructions: Prepare a hole of size 30x30 cm. Put your rose in the way that the grafting point is 3 cm deep in the soil. Water well and cover new shoots with soil or bark mulch about 15 cm high. Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun. During the flowering season regular feeding is recommended.

Pruning: Regular deadheading during the flowering season will enhance production of new flower buds - remove stems with spent flowers above the first leaf with 5 leaflets where the stem is strong and does not bend. Hard prune the whole shrub in early spring after frosts to 3-5 live buds above the ground.
