Yarrow is a lovely perennial ideal for dry and neglected locations. MILLY ROCK™ is a series of compact and shorter growing varieties bred by Tobias Braeunig from Germany. There are 3 available colours so far.
MILLY ROCK™ YELLOW TERRACOTTA yarrow makes attractive flowers combining brick orange-red and pastel yellow colours. They are composed in almost flat corymbs atop about 30-40 cm tall stems. Flowering begins in June and continues until late August. Fern-like leaves are finely cut and rich grass green, basal leaves are larger than stem leaves. Removing stems with spent flowers will encourage growth of new stems with new flowers until the weather is warm and sunny. Plants are compact and thanks to shorter stems they form nice mounds. It was introduced in 2020.
Yarrow is a maintenance-free, drought-loving perennial suitable for standard flower beds as well as dry slopes and rockeries. It tolerates a wide range of soils except for boggy and wet. Full sun is needed for profuse flowering. Fully hardy to -40°C (USDA zone 3).
