Pine trees are superb trees which grow in a wide climate scale - from cold northern countries to hot coastal sites. They are probably most beautiful in their natural environment.Description of the plant:
Mountain pine is a perfect choice for small gardens. Robusta is a selection that offers not only smaller size and slower growth but also a central leader which makes it look like a miniature version of common pine tree. It has broadly pyramidal shape of dense habit and upright growth.
Growing conditions and care
Pines love full sun and well-drained soil although they will become established sooner if the soil is kept moist in the first year. Dislikes water logging and does best in slightly acidic to neutral soil. Fully hardy to approx. -45°C (USDA zone 2).
