Fancy a colour of setting sun and a glass of old whisky. That could possibly describe the irresistible tone of this fantastic floribunda rose bred by Hans Jürgen Evers from Rosen Tantau, introduced in 1999 and named GOLDELSE®. Though, the sequence of colours is the other way round: when the buds burst out the flowers are golden yellow and as they mature, they gain deep tangerine orange shade. They are 8-10 cm across, semi-double, and release a mild, pleasantly sweet fragrance. Blooming begins in June and continues until the last warm and sunny days of early autumn so no wonder the plant is full of rich colours still in November. Deciduous leaves are dark olive green, partially glossy, and about 90% resistant to common rose diseases.

Planting instructions: Plant it in the same level as it is now in the container. Provide a good support for the stem. Water it well and mulch it for winter. Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun. If you live in a region with harsh and long winters protect the crown and the grafting point with white woven.

Pruning: In spring after danger of all frosts prune the crown lightly to form a solid framework, and remove ill, dry and weak branches. Spent flowers are best removed as they begin to fade. Cut off spent flowering clusters just above the leaf with 5 leaflets or deeper if rejuvenating is desired during vegetation.
