BELONGS TO CATEGORIES | Deciduous broadleaf |
Deborah is a special variety of Norway maple with bright red new leaves. They are large, deciduous and turn deep green in early summer. However, the second flush of new growths comes in midsummer when the tree again makes new foliage that beautifully contrasts with deep green crown.
This tree is fast growing, making a specimen plant in full maturity so it deserves being planted sensibly so that your grandchildren do not have to use a chain-saw to shape it up. The crown is dense and casts a deep shade. Young plants may be pruned to achieve a dense crown.
Grow it in any well-drained soil in full sun. Wind and air-pollution tolerant. Fully hardy to -40°C (USDA zone 3).
