DESERT EVE™ is a new series of yarrow with shorter stems, compact habit, and long-lasting flowers. DESERT EVE™ Red is possibly the deepest red coloured variety of the series. Its flat corymbs are composed of velvety red flowers with conspicuous yellow centres. They fade to pale crimson and almost light terracotta shades while the clump keeps pushing in new stems with new red flowers. This contrast of colours is typical for DESERT EVE™ series.

Fern-like leaves are finely cut and rich grass green, basal leaves are larger than stem leaves. Once the main flowering has finished you can cut off the stems to encourage new growths but it is not necessary.

Yarrow is a maintenance-free perennial suitable for standard flower beds as well as dry locations and rockeries. It tolerates wide range of soils except for boggy and wet. Full sun is best. Fully hardy to -40°C (USDA zone 3).
